    Cool

Hello. I have an Integra GSR w/ JRSC. I'm planning to put the ACT high PP and street org. disc in. I also interested in getting a lightened flywheel as well. Please give me some info on what brand/optimal weight I should go for. Also what are some of the pros/cons of the lightened flywheel. Please keep in mind that the car will mainly (or entirely I should say) be a daily street driven. Thanks in advance.

If you want all-out accelleration ability... go for the JR aluminum flywheel (made by Fidanza). If you want a good compromise between good mannered drivability and increased power, get a lightweight flywheel (NOT the ultralight) from JUN.
Both are EXCELLENT choices... you just have to decide what is most important to you.

Yea Im trying to make the same choice. Either the type-R (15lbs) or I can lighten my GSR (11lbs). Which do you guys think is the best way. Theres only about a $50 difference.
    thanks

I use the Type R flywheel, and I called clutch specialties about a clutch. http://www.clutchspecialties.com/

The JUN, or JR flywheel might be too light.

I'm currently using an 11lb. lightened GSR flywheel and I've been really nervous about how thin the area where it bolts up is (middle). Anyone think that area is of major concern? I've received contradicting
info and was wondering what you guys think. Some say its too thin while others told me not to worry too much about that area as its bolted and therefore reinforced.

I've had this set-up since April and my confidence has built from being a nervous wreck to doing redline pulls especially 1st and 2nd.

The verdict: I love it! I like the throttle response with gear changes. For me, 2nd gear just puuulls!

Anyways, Type R flywheel still collectin' dust waitin' to be installed.

Can anyone confirm the 15lb. weight of the Type r flywheel or was that a guesstimate?
Been searching for the answer to this question for a long time.

    Thanks,
    Adrian.

p.s. I've always thought the GSR flywheel weight was 18lbs!?!

I have a 9 lbs Clutchmaster flywheel in my 94 JRSC GSR. It's great. The RPMs sure rise/fall faster and you can feel a much harder pull in 2nd gear vs stock flywheel. I would not go any lighter than a 9 lbs unit. On the down side - you need to change gears faster since RPMs do fall quickly.

The Fidanza flywheel can be purchased from Fidanza for about 100.00 less than JR's Price
Drivability is like stock, provides faster rev's& acelleration. Mine weighs 9lbs
